BUILDING PERMITS

Water Bridge Environmental, as a member of Ontario Backflow Prevention Association (O.B.P.A.), supports the pursuit of the  maintenance and quality of all safe drinking water in Ontario through Total Water Protection, from the “point-of-treatment” to the “final-point-of-use”, with detailed and efficient Cross Connection Control Programs, implementing and maintaining proper Premise, Area, Zone and Individual protection measures, including annual (or more frequent) backflow assembly testing as required, to ensure the ongoing and future protection of all safe drinking water consumers in the province.

BACKFLOW ENGINEERING SERVICES for City of Toronto

Building Permit Services – Turn Key Acquisition

1. Survey building
2. Prepare “ ENGINEER STAMPED” drawings

• Design for Thermal Expansion
• Booster pump recommendation if necessary
• Strainer for preventative maintenance

3. Complete all the paperwork on behalf of owner.
4. Apply for plumbing permit in person
5. Obtain and deliver permit
6. Review drawings & permit with client(plumber).
7. Follow-up to arrange final inspection with Building Inspector
8. Provide optional Backflow Prevention Assembly testing & tagging.

PREMISE ISOLATION SURVEY

A premise isolation survey will include the following:

1. Review of any customer supplied blueprints/drawings, and water bill(s).
2. Visit the building site and inspect the water supply service connection(s) for both the DOMESTIC, and FIRE SPRINKLER systems.
3. Document water meter details including pipe diameter, and serial number.
4. Perform a visual flow rate reading.
5. Document any existing installed Backflow devices.
6. Classify degree of HAZARD.
7. Select, and recommend the necessary Backflow Prevention Assembly as per the CSA B64 Standard.
8. If a Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Assembly is required, a comment will be made on available drainage in the vicinity.
9. Complete the necessary forms pertaining to the local municipal or regional government for submission.
